Dr. Carl Truesdale has dedicated his life to elevating human confidence and beauty through the union of medical precision and artistic mastery. A world-renowned facial plastic surgeon and lifelong portrait artist, Dr. Truesdale believes that each face is a masterpiece — worthy of meticulous care both in and out of the operating room.
His journey into medicine was shaped by personal tragedy: the loss of his infant brother. This early experience instilled in him a profound desire to heal and to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives. Raised by a scientist and an artist, Dr. Truesdale’s path toward facial plastic surgery seemed not only natural — but inevitable.
He began his academic journey at Morehouse College, earning degrees in Biology and Spanish, before attending the prestigious University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, where he discovered his passion for the intricate world of head and neck surgery.
During his surgical training at the top-ranked University of Michigan, he honed his eye for detail and his love for reconstructive art. After completing five years of head and neck surgery, he moved to Beverly Hills to complete a coveted fellowship in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, ultimately founding his thriving private practice—where he has transformed thousands of lives and inspired millions across the globe.
